The next thing you know Kamala Harris will be working as a CNN correspondent.
It is no secret that the former vice president, U.S. senator, California attorney general and district attorney is looking for a job. And television might be the answer.
She’s qualified, given her vast experience as vice president under Joe Biden as well as her years spent in California politics. And she does have a way with words, even if they’re not always understandable.
It is also reported that she may run for governor in 2026 given that progressive Democratic fop Gov. Gavin Newsom is term-limited from running again. But that has not stopped Newsom from trying to remain relevant by begging Donald Trump to arrest him.
But what makes Harris a special stand out as a potential CNN reporter was her reaction to President Trump’s decision to call out the California National Guard to put down a vicious downtown Los Angeles pro-illegal immigrant riot.
Democrats who once wanted to jail Trump, demonstrated for the freeing of detained criminal illegal immigrants who have committed murder, rape and robbery.
Aggressive rioters and anarchists, many waving Mexican flags, targeted guardsmen and law enforcement officials protecting government property with rocks, water bottles, cans and other projectiles, spit at them, taunted them and called them vile names.
L.A. police and the California Highway Patrol clashed with the rioters using rubber bullets, tear gas and flashbangs.
Businesses were looted and cars were trashed and burned.
Rioters posted photos waving Mexican flags in front of burning cars as they danced around American flags they’d set on fire.
One photo (there are many) of smoking cars in flames showed masked rioters standing in front of the burning wrecks waving the Mexican flag in a gesture of defiance.
Harris, Newsom and sad sack L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, who called the riot “a little unruly” behavior, sought to outdo each other in blaming Trump for inciting the riot because he called out the guard to protect ICE agents under threat from the gathering mob before the local and state police showed up.
With burning cars in the background, Harris, like a good leftist CNN reporter, downplayed the burning, looting and rioting, calling the vicious event “overwhelmingly peaceful,” like past demonstrations.
California is not the only place or time where Democrats have called rioting, burning and looting by Antifa or BLM rioters’ peaceful demonstrations. Some Democrats have even praised them.
Gov. Maura Healey, for instance, received a lot of attention following the May 25, 2020, killing of George Floyd when hundreds of rioters descended on downtown Boston. They burned, thrashed and looted businesses, especially on toney Newbury Street.
Nine cops were hospitalized, 50 rioters were arrested, and the damage added up to millions. Smoke lingered over the city for days and looted and smashed downtown storefronts were covered with plywood for months.
Healey, then attorney general and the state’s “chief law enforcement officer,” famously commented on the riot by saying, “Yes, America is burning. But that’s how forests grow.”
Try telling that to Los Angeles. It’s been burning regularly for years.
Harris’ remarks about peaceful demonstrations recall the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin over a police shooting in which a CNN reporter was standing in front of a building engulfed in flames talking about how peaceful the protest was. The chyron on the screen below read, FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS AFTER POLICE SHOOTING.
You can just envision Harris doing a CNN standup in front of a couple of burning cars with a Mexican flag waver in front, and reporting to the few CNN viewers left that the protest is peaceful and Trump is lying about it.
Who are you going to believe? Harris and CNN, or your lying eyes?
Democrats in general, and politicians like Harris, Newsom and Bass only enhance Trump’s position when they attack him for deporting the criminal illegal immigrants that Joe Biden waved into the country.
Wake up.
It’s what the American people voted for.
