August 1, 1945 - January 11, 2025 Yorba Linda, CA Joyce Shinayo Masumoto passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025 at Kaiser Permanente Anaheim after a long battle with a bacterial infection.<br><br>Joyce was born August 1, 1945 to Isamu (Sam) and Matsuye (Betty) Masumoto in the Poston, AZ Japanese internment camp during World War II.<br><br>Joyce graduated from Sweetwater Union High School in 1964 and went on to cosmetology school to become a hairdresser. Joyce took great joy in making women look beautiful. She also worked as a caregiver with Active Senior Home Care Center and In Home Supportive Services until late in her life.<br><br>Joyce was predeceased by her father, Sam, her mother, Betty, and her brothers, Luther and Ken. She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn, Shirley, and Debbie.<br><br>Joyce was a hard worker, resilient in spirit, generous to all, and a genuinely good person. She touched the lives of all she met with a beautiful smile. Joyce had many challenges in her life and she faced them with her chin up and forgiveness in her heart. Heaven has truly gained an angel.<br><br>Services will be held at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim, 5605 E La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92807, on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:00am with a lunch reception provided directly after.<div></div><br>
