L.A. Natural History Museum celebrates Seasonal pavilion is open through Aug. 24 and boasts more than 24 species

Los Angeles Natural History Museum takes wing this time of year. In fact, hundreds of wings.
The museum’s seasonal Butterfly Pavilion, open now though Aug. 24, boasts more than 24 different species of butterfly, including such California natives as the Mourning cloak and Common buckeye.
Museum educators and animal care specialists are on hand each day to offer details about these lovely creatures.
The cost is $10 per person, in addition to general admission, for a 30-minute visit to the pavilion — but free to museum members.
Reservations are required.
