Sadie M. (Brandau) Watkins, age 83 of Allendale, SC (formerly from Marina, CA) passed away peacefully on May 1,2025.

Sadie was born in Ohio, daughter of the late Adam and Dulcie Mabel Brandau. In addition to raising her family, she operated a ceramic store where Sadie was the primary creator and painter of the items. This store was a family business in which all members played a pivotal role in its success. Once the children had grown and started their own lives, Sadie reinvented herself by attending Monterey Peninsula College where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing as a R.N. She began her second career for 20+ years at Carmel Community Hospital.

She loved caring for people as it was shown in her love of family and her work at Carmel Community Hospital (especially working with AIDS patients). Sadie was an avid collector of many things, owls, lighthouses, carousel horses, and Hot Wheels. She enjoyed travelling, going to concerts, family gatherings and attending grandchildren’s events. Sadie was very caring, always helping others, and made you laugh. The family hopes you keep a memory of her close to heart so she will always be here and when you think of Sadie, it will put asmile on your face.

Sadie is survived by her children, Bruce Dias (Evette), Brian Dias (Linda), Debbie Habicht, stepson Bobby Dias (Debbie), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, her siblings Buck, Sandy, Steve, nieces & nephews, and members of her extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 23 years, Dennis Watkins, and her siblings, Marilyn, John, and Dick.
