The Woodland High School Performing Arts is delighted to take you under the sea when they perform their musical “The Little Mermaid Jr.” this Spring!

Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the 1989 classic Disney movie, “The Little Mermaid Jr.” is a shortened musical adaptation of the Broadway version of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” The Musical includes music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glen Slater, and a book by Doug Wright.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel (Isabella Casas), longs to leave behind her ocean home and fins behind, and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton (Anthony Acosta), make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula (Cambree Oesterle), and convince the handsome Prince Eric (Gael Rodriguez Roque) that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.

The production will be playing for two weekends. Opening night is Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m. Other shows are April 26, May 2 & 3 at 7 p.m. and April 27 and May 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children/students.
