SAN JOSE — An AMBER Alert was deactivated for a San Jose teen girl who was reported missing Monday, but returned home the next day after the statewide alert was issued, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol issued the alert Tuesday morning seeking the public’s help in locating a 14-year-old girl after she was reported missing to San Jose police.
Authorities said she had been last seen around 4:45 p.m. Monday near Mariposa Avenue and Tillman Avenue, near the city’s Midtown neighborhood west of downtown. Later Tuesday, hours after the alert went out, she returned home, police said.
