Sierra Vista football head coach Travis Brown told school officials he is resigning after one season in the job.
Sierra Vista finished third this season in the Montview League and had a 3-7 overall record. The Dons made the CIF Southern Section Division 14 playoffs, losing in the first round to Duarte.
Brown is expected to join the staff for new Bishop Amat head coach Kory Minor.
Brown has experience at Amat. Prior to taking over at Sierra Vista, Brown was an assistant at Bishop Amat in 2022 under former coach Steve Hagerty.
Brown has been a head coach at several places, including Duarte, Cantwell Sacred Heart and at his alma mater, Los Altos.
Minor has been busy filling out his staff with several notable hires.
On Monday, Minor announced on his Instagram account that Sheldon Price, who played at Bishop Amat, UCLA and had a brief stint in the NFL, has joined the staff as defensive coordinator.
