Sterling Heights residents will want to bundle up as they head to the 47th annual A Sterling Christmas event on Saturday evening at Dodge Park.
The event, which runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m., features a visit with Santa along with a petting farm, refreshments, pony rides, an illuminated ice sculpture trail, train rides, ice skating, warming fire, Grinch’s Craft Corner presented by Genysis Credit Union and more.
A Sterling Christmas activities are free for city residents, according to the Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department.
Attendees can also donate non-perishable food items for the Ken Stempowski Memorial Food Drive. The drive benefits the Macomb Food Program. Monetary donation checks made out to Macomb Food Program are also accepted. The drive is named for a DPW colleague who began the annual food collection more than 25 years ago.
A Sterling Christmas is sponsored by Connect Macomb, McDonald’s, Genisys Credit Union and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
