LOS ANGELES >> Two years still remain until USC and UCLA officially make the transition from the Pac-12 to the Big Ten, the latest tectonic shift in the realignment saga that has terraformed college athletics.

But the impact has already been felt by USC head coach Lincoln Riley in at least one area.

“Mostly in recruiting right now,” the first-year Trojans coach said at Friday’s Pac-12 media day, cardinal stage lights beaming down around him.
