About 10 couples celebrated Valentine’s Day by saying “I do” at Yolo County’s Erwin Meier Center in Woodland.

Weddings started at 10 a.m. and continued throughout the day in the atrium of the center under the direction of Jesse Salinas, who is Yolo County Assessor, Clerk/Recorder, and Elections Official as well as “Marriage Commissioner.”

Among the first couples to be married were Jason McMillan, 47, and Consuello Esqueda, 45, of Woodland, who have been together for 20 years.

The couple have a son and stepson, Aidan and Alex, as well as a daughter, Jocelyn.

Consuello wore a white gown adorned with a red rose along with red shoes, a silver necklace, and red gemstones. Jason was in a traditional black tuxedo with a red bowtie, red rose boutonniere and red shoes.

More than 15 friends and family attended the wedding.

Salinas said the day was special to everyone present because it signified that Jason and Consuello were committing themselves to one another.
