As Mazda continues to hold its spot in the consumer market pleasantly, the need for everyday commuters is still lingering. The Mazda3 is no stranger to the consumer commuter market as it fills a lot of voids while still holding firm on an under $30K price tag.
Wrapped in popular Polymetal Gray Metallic, our 2025 Mazda3 Carbon Edition sedan tester is very appealing. Paired with its upscale Red interior, the 4-door sedan boasts good fuel mileage, nicely appointed standard features and comfort for your everyday commuter.
Our tester was powered with a 2.5L SKYACTIVE-G 4-cylinder engine producing 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque and all-wheel drive. Inclusive of a 5 year / 60,000 mile powertrain warranty and 3 year / 36,000 new vehicle limited warranty with 24-hour roadside assistance, the Mazda3 has a good history of consumer satisfaction, is in-expensive to maintain, and gets better than expected fuel mileage. On our test, we noticed just under 30 mpg’s which confirms consumers commuter status. Riding on 18-inch black alloy wheels, the exterior aesthetics is really appealing with the gloss black accents and Mazda-brand familiar front-grille design. On the interior, we notice some additional standard features over previous testers like Amazon Alexa built-in, an 8.8-inch color infotainment system operated with a center-console control dial and an 8-speaker audio system.
Mazda displays an excellent appeal on their most recent vehicle re-designs. While still maintaining their similar shapes and curvatures, the design and styling are second to none in the commuter under $30K category. The Mazda3 is here and is a win for students, commuters, or city drivers who need to fit in compact spaces.
