On December 20, 2024, Allen D. Watson passed away unexpectedly in a car accident while on his way to help a friend in need.
Allen was always willing to drop everything to help someone who needed him and this was truly evident the night he passed.
Allen was born on July 16, 1962 in Denver, CO to Barbara (Bobbi) and Paul Watson. Allen attended St. John the Baptist in elementary school, Berthoud Jr/Sr High and Northglenn High School. After high school in 1980, Allen enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. While most of his years were spent in Colorado, Allen also lived a number of years in Columbia, MO where he worked with his dad in the family plumbing business.
Over the years, Allen owned and operated Aspen Plumbing. At the time of his passing he was employed by J & M Mechanical in Greeley.
In the plumbing business, Allen was very knowledgeable and well respected. Many came to him for advice on how to get a job completed. It was in his later years that Allen found the most success and happiness in his career. At the time of his passing Allen was looking forward to great opportunities both personally and professionally in the new year.
Allen was married to his wife DJ for over thirty years and together they raised their family in Colorado and Missouri. Later in life Allen adopted all four of DJ's daughters.
Allen was a loyal husband and father and a good friend to many that knew him. He was always available for good conversation and loved discussing current events and the happenings around the world. He enjoyed having vigorous political debates with his brother-in-law, Jerry. They always agreed to disagree but never let any issue get in the way of their friendship. Allen cared about his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved the mountains, enjoying the peace and serenity nature offered. He especially enjoyed fishing and talked often of how much he enjoyed fishing with his grandson, Carson. Allen was known by many as the best fisherman they ever knew. In addition to fishing, Allen loved animals of all kinds and especially loved listening to his favorite rock & roll tunes.
Allen is survived by his wife Diana Jane (DJ), his children, Nathan, daughters Ashley, Amanda, Danielle, Bethany and Cinnament, his step-father Tom, his sister Natalie and her husband Jerry, brother Darrel and many grandchildren. Allen is preceded in death by his mother and father.
Ser vices for Allen will be held on Friday, February 28 at 10:00 am with a reception luncheon to follow at Howe Mortuary.
Interment following at Foothills Gardens of Memory in Longmont.
