Kirstin Lynn (Krall) Sims passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, following ashort illness with her family by her side. She was born in El Centro, CA. She attended Lietz Elementary and Presentation High School in San Jose. She graduated from the University of San Francisco majoring in Chemistry. She met Michael Sims in 2007. They married in 2011. Kirstin and Michaelmade friends easily in their community. Her friendship extended toher neighborhood where she served on the board of her community organization for several years. Her immediatefamily felt shewas a diamond glowing from within, bringing out the best in everyone.

Kirstin had an accomplished career in Biotechasaleader in quality, most recently as an Associate Director at Guardant Health. Kirstin mentored and encouraged individuals within the many teams she led. She affected many lives in her work. She created processes ensuring hundreds of thousands of patients received medical test results that they and their medical teams could rely on to guidetheir care.

Kirstin was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth L. Krall Jr. Kirstin is survived by her Husband, Michael Sims and daughter, Josephine, Mother, Kathleen (Warde) Krall, Brothers, Kasey Krall (Angela), Kevin Krall, Nephews, Jakob Castanon-Krall, Austin Krall, Kyle Krall, Niece, Kassady Krall, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on May 10, 2025, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1576 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA.

The family requests donations tobemade toStanford Medical Center in Esophageal Cancer or other charitiesoftheir choice.
