“Finding My Way” book signing: 1 p.m., Boulder Public Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder. Robin Schepper has written a deeply personal memoir about her determination to find her birth father. Growing up in New York City with a single mother in the 1960s on a very limited income and a Nana who was a Madame on the Upper East Side, Schepper basically raised herself and was very determined to find a safe and successful path for her adult life. Through amazing perseverance as a child, she was able to secure a full scholarship to a prestigious private K-12 school while working part-time jobs to help her mother with expenses. She then went on to college in California, all the while searching for her birth father and to understand all secrets, lies and shame in her life. Schepper went on to have an incredibly successful career in international politics, was a successful organizer of Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign and finally went on to work for Michelle Obama in the White House. A life journey that culminates in immense happiness. calendar.boulderlibrary.org.
