Boulder girls swimming: Hazel Huilman won the 100-yard butterfly and the 100 breaststroke as the Panthers took eighth at the Class 5A state swim meet on Friday. Sloan Zallen took second in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 500 free.

Broomfield girls swimming: The Eagles finished third at the 4A state meet on Saturday, led by Ridley Hagerman’s silver in the 500 freestyle and bronze in the 200. Ellie Foulke was third in the 200 IM and fourth in 500. Myra Wherry was third in the 100 freestyle. They were all part of the 400 free relay, which took second.

Broomfield wrestling: The boys finished second at 5A Region 3, qualifying eight to the state wrestling tournament. Nicholas Penfold (138-pound weight class) and Manny Lopez (165s) won their brackets, while Ethan Brown (113s) and August Soto (132s) took second. The girls finished sixth at their regional, with five qualifying. Shayla Martinez (190s) won, while Lizette Cedillo (155s) was runner-up.

Erie wrestling: The Tigers qualified eight to the state wrestling tournament, finishing third at 5A Region 3. Carson Hageman (190-pound weight class) won his bracket, while Noah Bridgewater (126s), Hunter Waneka (150s), Tyler Muir (157s) and Austin Muir (175s) finished second.

Fairview girls swimming: Lexi Byrn took third in the 100 butterfly and the Knights went fourth in the 200 medley relay as they finished third at the 5A state swim meet on Friday.

Frederick wrestling: The Golden Eagles finished fifth at 4A Region 2, qualifying six to the state tournament. Nikolas Carrillo (120-pound weight class), Diego Rangel (157s) and Nacoa Meisinger (285s) finished second, while Ricardo Moreno (third, 150s), Rowen Kaiser (190s) and Logan Vickers (fourth, 113s) also qualified.

Holy Family wrestling: The boys won Class 3A Region 1, qualifying nine wrestlers into the state tournament. Lorenzo Trujillo (120-pound weight class), Adam Moore (138s), Fisher Reenan (165s) and Camden Austin (215s) won their bracket. The girls also won their regional, qualifying eight. Veronika Hafer (100s) won, while Jayci Pounders (115s), Makayla Ward (130s), Frances Bralish (145s), Graci Baker (155s) and Makaila Moosbrugger (190s) finished second.

Mead wrestling: The boys qualified seven wrestlers to the state wrestling tournament, finishing second at 4A Region 2. Breckan Palko (120-pound weight class), Leister Bowling IV (175s), William Eilers (215s) and Grant Gordon (285s) won their brackets. The Mavericks’ girls team finished sixth at their regional tournament, qualifying four wrestlers. Grace Sierra (125s) led the way with a regional title.

Monarch girls swimming: The Coyotes took second at the 4A state swim meet on Saturday. Eliza Lennox won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, while Audrey Shambo won the 100 breaststroke and took second in the 200 IM. Both were part of the winning 200 medley relay.

Skyline wrestling: At 4A Region 4, the Falcons won two individual titles and qualified six wrestlers to the state wrestling tournament. Brody Hufford (106-pound weight class) and Tobias Pinson (144s) won their brackets. Lucas Anson (third, 138s), Owen McGee (third, 175s), Jovanny Mendoza (third, 190s) and Angel Perez (fourth, 165s) also qualified.

Spencer Brown, Fairview basketball: The senior went 7 of 11 from the field, scoring 21 points in a 63-46 win over Erie on Friday. On Tuesday, he had 16 points in a win over Mead.

Levi Carlucci, Monarch wrestling: The 144-pound wrestler finished second at 5A Region 1, only losing to 5A’s top-ranked wrestler in the class, Derek Barrows of Pomona. Carlucci’s teammate, Antonio Beall, finished third as both of them qualified for the state tournament.

Matthew Clifton, Legacy wrestling: He finished second to Ponderosa’s Jaylen Burge in the 132-pound weight class at 5A Region 2. Teammate Landon Hetrick (144s) also qualified for the state tournament.

Alexandra Eschmeyer, Peak to Peak basketball: In two games last week, Eschmeyer combined for 69 points, 32 rebounds and eight blocks. The McDonald’s All-American is averaging 26.9 points, 13.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks this season.

Elizabeth Fay, Niwot swimming: Fay repeated as the Class 4A diving champ, winning with a score of 529.50.

Jimeto Orji, Jefferson Academy basketball: The junior (18.2 PPG and 10.7 RPG) had two double-doubles across three games last week. He combined for 52 points and 30 rebounds.

Mason Shore, Centaurus wrestling: He won the 215-pound weight class at 5A Region 4, qualifying for the state tournament. He had three pins.

Lake Smith, Boulder basketball: He scored 25 points and hit the game-winning bucket in the final moments in a 75-73 win over Mountain Range on Thursday. Smith (16.5 PPG) is averaging 22 points over his past six games. The win kept the Panthers atop the 6A/5A Rocky Mountain League.

JR Spence, Centaurus wrestling: He won the 120-pound weight bracket at 5A Region 4, qualifying for the state tournament. He had two pins and a technical fall.

Virginia Walsh, Centaurus swimming: She finished second in the 100-yard backstroke and third in the 100 butterfly at the 4A state meet on Saturday. The Warriors finished fourth as a team.
