Woodland After a brief illness Rita entered paradise surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Riverside California raised in Banning moved to Woodland where Rita was a longtime resident.

Rita is survived by her children, Michael (Gina), Lucinda and Joe Barron, grand children Leandra, Michael Jr., Ariel and Nicholas and great grandchildren.

Rita’s hobbies included making jewelry, sewing and knitting. Spending time with family and friends is what she so loved. Rita was a devoted and longtime congregation member of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Yolo. Rita was devoted and unwavering in her faith.

Rita will be remembered for her wonderful smile, laugh and her famous Salsa.

Rita was predeceased by parents Joe and Amelia Mendez, siblings Joe Balderas, Pauline Davila, Ruben Pelkey and Jesse Mendez.

Services for Rita will be held on August 19th 3pm Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 13980 Co. Road 99W 95697. Celebration of life reception to be held August 20th 2:30 pm at American Legion 523 Bush St. Woodland, Ca.
