Leonora Burke (Lee, Leo) died quickly and peacefully on June 27th, 2023 after a long and horrendous struggle with early onset Alzheimer’s. She was 67 years old.

Leonora earned her Bachelor’s degree in History from UC Berkeley, her Master’s in Business from Purdue University and her PhD in Business from UC Berkeley. She taught at several universities and ended her career as a tenured Professor of Business and Economics at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her deeply devoted husband, Scott Brickner, who tirelessly cared for her and her loving sister, Deena Burke.

She is finally at peace.
