PARADISE >> The town of Paradise’s $134.65 million budget is set to go before the Town Council on Tuesday, when the final approval will be voted on.

This includes an operating budget of $8,556,293 from the town’s general fund to cover ongoing costs for the year. In total, the general fund going into the 2025-26 fiscal year has $23,413,041.

In addition to securing the budget for the year, the council will hear various updates on major happenings within the town.

Recovery and Economic Development Director Colette Curtis will provide the update and outlook regarding Camp Fire recovery which, according to the council agenda, contains elements like emergency operations, housing, projects and advocacy.

Public Works Director Marc Mattox will provide an update on the town’s sewer project, which hit a major roadblock recently after the method of planning and building proved to be much more expensive than previously anticipated.

An additional update will be provided on code enforcement by the department’s Tony Lindsey.

The Paradise Town Council generally meets at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at its chambers located at 5555 Skyway in Paradise. Meetings are free and open to the public.
