A 32-year-old resident of a transitional housing facility in Dolton was found dead Monday morning, police said.

David DeJoseph was found sitting in a chair in back of Fathers and Blessings, 14827 S. Chicago Road, around 7:40 a.m., Police Chief Ernest Mobley said.

Mobley said a caretaker at the facility found DeJoseph and that he was pronounced dead at the scene. He had no outward signs of trauma and police do not suspect foul play, the chief said.

DeJoseph’s cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results.

Fathers and Blessings, which bills itself as a “safe haven and home for veterans and non-violent offenders seeking to overcome various challenges,” did not immediately respond to a request for comment on DeJoseph’s death.
