Those seeking healing for body, mind and spirit came to St. Clair Shores last weekend for the annual Lakefront Psychic and Holistic Festival at the VFW Bruce Post.
Attendees at the three day festival July 11-13 could get a healing massage, have their tarot cards read, or learn to make a wire-wrapped crystal necklace that they could wear home from the festival.
Event organizer Laura Moody of Rock Your World Events said the event is meant to spread positivity and help people work on all aspects of their selves. Maybe reiki healing to calm your spirit or a massage to relax your body or a positive psychic reading to uplift your mind.
Several vendors offered hand-crafted items including clothing, candles and jewelry.
Music was provided by Nashville singer-songwriter Shanna in a Dress, Michigan musician Rob Crozier as well as local acoustic artists. The tunes helped to set the mood for the event. Many people took advantage of the setting on the banks of Lake St. Clair and sat to enjoy the view, the music and a snack.
Moody organizer said it is all about balance and learning how mind, body and spirit work together.
“You have to have all three things working together,” Moody said. “If the body isn’t doing well, the mind and the spirit get down.
“But it works the other way too; if you can do something that uplifts your spirit, your mind and body will benefit.”
