INLAND EMPIRE 66ers game will benefit Humane Society

The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley is selling tickets to the Inland Empire 66ers’ Aug. 20 Waggin’ Wednesday baseball game against the Visalia Rawhide at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino.

At the game, Apollo, the dog of Humane Society veterinary clinic manager Kristian Joyce, will “deliver” the first pitch, and fans are welcome to bring their dogs to the park, according to a news release.

The national anthem will be performed by Jeff Pope, KATY FM morning show host and vice president of the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley’s board of directors.

Game time is 6:30 p.m.

A portion of the price of tickets sold through the Humane Society, at hssbv.org/upcoming-events/, will go to Humane Society programs and services.

Those who purchase tickets through the Humane Society’s website will also be entered for a chance to win the Waggin’ Wednesday mega raffle basket, which includes a $50 Humane Society gift certificate, a clear game-day bag, Angels beach towel and baseball, Dances with Dogs training gift certificate, pet supplies and toys, Inland Empire 66ers baseball swag, KATY FM shirt and sticker and more.

The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley’s facility is at 374 W. Orange Show Road, San Bernardino. For information, go to hssbv.org or call 909-386-1400.
