Michael J. Murphy, age 97, formerly of San Bernardino, CA, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Blaine, WA, with his fiancée, Mary Forster, by his side.<br><br>Michael was born on May 8, 1927, in Los Angeles, CA to Michael and Alta Murphy. He served in the United States Navy. He was an architect who designed many restaurants and custom homes in San Bernardino. During the time he lived in San Bernardino, he was a member of the Mexicali-Villahermosa Sister Cities Committee.<br><br>In Canada, he and his fiancée volunteered with World Serve Thrift Store.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Marc, his sister, Lucille, and his first wife, Patricia.<br><br>Michael is survived by his fiancée, Mary Forster, of Canada, his daughter, Michele Murphy of Florida, several nieces and nephews, 3 step-children, and 3 step-grandchildren.<br><br>Michael will be missed by his fiancée, family, and friends.<div></div>
