DEALING ALLEGED: John L. Shields Jr., 40, Chicago, was arrested June 23 and accused of intending to sell drugs after officers recovered 72 grams of ecstasy in two bags, 112 grams of THC-infused gummy candies and three bags collectively containing 26 grams of marijuana during a search at 127th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

Burbank

ARMED ROBBERY: Two individuals took a power generator selling for $1,100 June 24 from a store in the 7600 block of La Crosse Avenue while implying one had a handgun, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Keyanna M. Baker, 41, Chicago, was charged June 25 with aggravated battery to a child after grappling with a special-needs student Feb. 26 during transport on a RichLee Vans vehicle, police said.

Bridgeview

TRAFFIC SHOOTING: Police say road rage may have been responsible for an early evening shooting July 8 that sent a motorist to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot shoulder wound and bullet-grazing to the cheek. Investigators recovered two handguns at the scene in the 10400 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.

Chicago Ridge

DUI CRASH: John E. Cunningham, 60, Hickory Hills, was arrested June 30 and accused of drunken driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, illegally transporting alcohol and driving without proof of insurance in the 6400 block of 95th Street, police said.

Crete

GUN POSSESSION: Meshellangela Taylor-Walter, 34, 3500 block of William Street, Steger, is scheduled to appear in Will County court July 21, charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm in a vehicle, according to court records online. The charge stems from an officer recovering a 9 mm pistol and loaded magazine during a March 7 stop and determining Taylor-Walter lacked a concealed carry license, according to police and court records online.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Rashad R. Hulbert, 31, 300 block of Marquette Street, Park Forest, is scheduled to appear in Will County court July 21, charged with aggravated battery in a public place, felony domestic battery, criminal damage to property and obstructing identification, according to court records online. The charge stems from a May 22 argument at a fast-food restaurant in the 23200 block of Volbrecht Road, according to police and court records online.

Evergreen Park

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: A security guard at a grocery store in the 2500 block of 95th Street told officers June 25 that a man threatened to shoot her when she attempted to stop him from leaving with a box of chicken.

Homer Glen

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: William G. Parker, 65, 13700 block of Ironwood Circle, Homer Glen, was arrested July 10 on a warrant charging him with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest and trespassing, according to Will County court records online. Parker kicked and tripped deputies called to remove him from a grocery store June 13 in the 14200 block of Bell Road, sheriff’s police said.

Homewood

IDENTITY THEFT: Regina Caffey Means, 52, Chicago, was arrested June 19 in the 19000 block of Halsted Street and accused of identity theft after using a stranger’s credit card to make unauthorized transactions at several locations, police said.

Lansing

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Karielle C. King, 25, 2800 block of Ridge Road, Lansing, was charged June 18 with aggravated battery to a police officer after kicking an officer in the face and torso during a June 17 arrest in that block, police said.

New Lenox

BURGLARY CHARGED: Dreshawn J. Blount, 24, 14600 block of Evers Street, Dolton, was arrested July 9 on a warrant charging him with burglary, identity theft and theft, according to Will County court and sheriff’s records online. The charge stems from a resident’s May 5, 2023 complaint that led New Lenox police investigators and Chase Bank fraud investigators to determine Blount called Chase Bank customer service 367 times and conducted $91,240.21 worth of unauthorized transactions with various accounts, including the complainant’s account, police said.

Oak Lawn

REGISTRATION FAILURE: Eric S. Hulon, 56, 4200 block of 95th Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender during a June 23 domestic call after officers determined he hadn’t registered since 2015, police said. Hulon was convicted in Cook County of aggravated criminal sexual assault when he was 38 and the victim was 15, according to Illinois State Police records online.

Orland Park

RETAIL THEFT: William S. Nobles III, 36, Manteno, and Carlos L. Miller, 39, Bolingbrook, were charged with felony retail theft after taking women’s clothing selling for $2,272 June 28 from Dick’s Sporting Goods at Orland Park Place, police said.

Palos Heights

THEFT CHARGE: Zaid Abu Alkhei, 36, Chicago, was arrested July 10 and charged with felony theft in connection with the removal of instant lottery tickets collectively selling for $2,341 prior to May 2 while employed at Circle K, 12121 Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

POSTING IMAGES: Eric Munoz, 29, Alsip, was arrested July 10 and charged with non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, police said. The felony charge stems from an April 2 complaint that someone had posted nude photos of the victim on a Facebook account created by the victim, police said.

Posen

AGGRAVATED DISCHARGE: A Blue Island man is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Markham Aug. 12, charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to police and sheriff’s records online. The charge against David Aguirre, 27, stems from a June 2, 2024, shooting at an occupied vehicle, police said. Officers apprehended Aguirre in April, police said.

Will County

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Craig J. Stevens, 30, 100 block of Wolpers Road, near Crete, was charged July 7 with aggravated battery/victim at least 60 years old and domestic battery, according to Will County sheriff’s police and court records online.
