Retired auto executive and lawyer Paul L. Wolff, of Highland, died at his home on August 9. He was 68 years old.

Wolff retired from Chrysler as vice president - taxation and chief tax counsel in 2011. Prior to joining Chrysler’s Tax Department in 1983, he worked at the Bendix Corporation from 1981- 1983. Wolff began his tax career at General Motors in 1979, leaving after two years for Bendix.

He held a master’s of law degree in taxation from Wayne State University Law School (1992); a juris doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (1983); and a bachelor’s degree of business administration in accounting from the Detroit Institute of Technology (1979).

Wolff was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Renaud) Wolff, and parents Delmar and Dorothy Wolff.

He is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Wolff, and son-in-law, Doug Burke; brothers Mike, Joe (Mary), and Charlie Wolff; sisters Diane Gracher, Ilene Wolff (Jim Dulzo), Paula (Murl) Behnke, and Christine (Steve) Cronin; a loving extended fam- ily including aunts and many cousins, nieces and nephews; many longtime friends and neighbors; and pets Wally and Stanley.
