Kathleen M. Griak, age 77, passed away on July 4, 2025. Kathleen was born to the late Joseph and Dolores Kruk in Detroit, Mich. on April 10, 1948. Kathy was an amazing, strong, and caring woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She radiated energy and had a special gift for bringing people together, always filling the room with laughter. Kathy was a wonderful woman who had a profound impact on those around her, treating everyone as if they were her own. She was truly one of a kind, with a strong and funny personality that will be deeply missed.In her younger years, Kathy enjoyed bowling. She loved going to the casino with her family, especially playing the slot machines. She also found pleasure in solving crossword puzzles, playing word games, and solitaire.<br><br>Kathy was a dedicated employee who retired from the City of Eastpointe. She loved hosting pool parties for her family and friends to enjoy, creating cherished memories for all. Kathy’s warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathy was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Donald Griak, her son, Dennis Griak; her siblings, Patricia Kruk and Michael Kruk; her in-laws, Frank and Mary Griak, Diane Kruk, Geraldine Kruk, Diane Kruk, George and Antoinette Hessler, Connie Griak, and David Griak. Loving mother survived by Donald Griak Jr. and Deanna (Chad) Bender.<br><br>Dearest sister of Timothy Kruk, Richard Kruk, and Butch (Elise) Kruk; and sister-in-law of Diane Griak. Kathy is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 3-8 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville, MI 48066. In state on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Basil Catholic Church of Eastpointe. Entombment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.<br>
