"Frank" Lovell Taylor, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 22, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born March 16, 1937, in Glendale, Arizona, to Lester and Melva Taylor. On December 26, 1965, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Rusche, and they enjoyed life together until her death in 2002.

Frank worked as a printer at the Chico Enterprise- Record for more than thirty years, following his time of service in the U.S. Navy. He was known to family and friends as someone who could fix anything. He learned to repair cars alongside his dad and later taught his son the same skills. Frank’s skills in plumbing work, electrical, construction, and general problem-solving kept him busy, in his own home and in assisting his friends and family. He was a hard-working, unassuming, quiet man with a fun sense of humor. His generous heart and kindness were one of his many attributes that made him a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Gail and Bill Collins; his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Honey Taylor; granddaughter Emilie Wilson (Mark); granddaughter Mollie Patrich (Matt); grandson Zachary Collins (Destiny); grandson Spencer Taylor; great-grandchildren Wesley, Willie, Warren, Emma, Jared, Atrayu, Zarren; his sisters-inlaw, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is survived by his sister Lula Thomasson.

Frank was blessed to find companionship in his later years, and is survived by Edna Ellis, who tirelessly tended to his needs until the very end.

A graveside service will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Park on Monday, June 30th, at 11 am. Any memorial donations or flowers may be directed to Newton Bracewell Chico Funeral Home.
