Stewart E. Bowers took his final flight on March 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of courage, kindness and a life well lived. He was a skilled pilot, a dedicated flight instructor, and a widower to Joyce, his beloved wife of 58 years.

Stewart is survived by sister Katherine Merwin (Roseville), sons Stewart (Saint-Paul-de-Vence), Barton (Folsom), and Byron (Lafayette), daughters-in-law Weny, Melissa, and Sarah, and grandchildren Jameson and Audrey, who will cherish his blessed soul.

US Army veteran, Cal Berkeley Alum, Mt Diablo Pilots Association, NRI Flying Club, Civil Air Patrol and Quiet Birdmen - Stewart engaged life with purpose, bringing warmth and inspiration to those around him.

Stewart was laid to rest on April 22, 2025, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Piedmont, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to the charity of your choice.
