Retaining Doug Christie as head coach was one of the first decisions Scott Perry made as general manager of the Sacramento Kings.

Now, the Kings have filled out Christie’s coaching staff for the 2025-26 NBA season with some new names and a several holdovers from 2024-25.

The Kings announced Tuesday that Bobby Jackson, Mike Miller, Chris Darnell and Leandro Barbosa will serve as assistants under Christie and associate head coach Mike Woodson. Barbosa will remain with the team after working under previous head coach Mike Brown, who was fired in December after the Kings went 13-18 to start the season.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside such a talented and experienced coaching staff — a group that truly reflects our values and the culture we’re building,” Christie said in a press release. “Their passion and leadership will shape not just how we play, but who we become as a team. I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

Jackson, who teamed with Christie during Sacramento’s glory years under former coach Rick Adelman, rejoins the organization after two years as an assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers. Jakson previously served the Kings as an assistant and player development coach from 2017-20.

Miller, who mostly recently worked as an assistant with the Washington Wizards from 2021-24, has more than 30 years of coaching experience.

Darnell comes to Sacramento after one season as head coach of the Canton Charge, the G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Barbosa will return for his fourth season in Sacramento after joining the Kings prior to the 2022-23 season.
