• Independence Fest: 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m., June 29, at Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road, Independence Twp., featuring youth activities, (inflatables, climbing wall, spray park), food concessions, arts and crafts vendors (11 a.m.-5 p.m.). • Oakland County Fair: July 5-14, carnival and fair. Fireworks show is at dusk July 5, following concert by Grant Reiff band at 7 p.m., and crowning of Oakland County Fair Royalty, at Springfield Oaks County Park, 12451 Andersonville Road, Davisburg, 248-634-8830, oakfair.org, admission and ticket prices vary. New show in 2024 is the Sea Lions Splash. Fair parking, which includes admission, is $15/vehicle and $10/motorcycle or walk-in. • 2024 Independence Day Music Festival: Noon until dusk, June 29 to celebrate Independence Day, at the Veterans Tribute of Oakland Township, 5236 Adams Road, Oakland Township. The event will feature four live bands playing throughout the afternoon, and food vendors including an ice cream truck. Bring your own lawn chairs (and refreshments if desired).
