Broomfield girls soccer: The 5A No. 10 Eagles moved into the quarterfinals after beating No. 23 ThunderRidge and No. 7 Rock Canyon in the opening two rounds. Marin Kotschau had the overtime winner at home in Round 1 and Victoria Choren scored the second-round, game-winner in the 77th minute on the road. They faced No. 2 Cherry Creek late Monday night at Englewood High School.

Jefferson Academy girls soccer: The 3A No. 5 Jaguars outscored their first two playoff opponents — No. 28 Arrupe Jesuit and No. 12 Peak to Peak — a combined 15-0. They travel to face No. 4 Prospect Ridge Academy on Tuesday.

Fairview boys swimming: The Knights won the 400-yard freestyle relay at the 5A state meet at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center on Friday. Wesley Schlachter, Soren Koschmann, Jack Garnett and Anders Koschmann were part of it. Soren Koschmann also took bronze in the 100 free as Fairview finished sixth as a team.

Fairview girls lacrosse: With the help of six goals from freshman Josie Craytor, the 5A No. 4 Knights beat No. 13 Pine Creek and No. 5 Heritage in the opening two rounds of the postseason. They face No. 1 Valor Christian in the semifinals at Englewood High School on Tuesday.

Legacy boys swimming: Tyler Mills, Hector Mu, Austin Neeley and DK Nakashima took second in the 200-yard freestyle relay at the 5A state meet at VMAC on Friday.

Mead girls lacrosse: After a first-round bye in the 4A postseason, the No. 4 Mavericks beat No. 13 Telluride and No. 5 Golden to punch their ticket into the semifinals, where they’ll face No. 1 Evergreen at Englewood High School on Wednesday.

Mead girls soccer: The 4A No. 6 Mavericks outscored their first two playoff opponents — No. 27 Thomas Jefferson and No. 11 Air Academy — a combined 10-0. They travel to face No. 3 Windsor in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Monarch boys swimming: The Coyotes won their first state title in the sport Saturday at the VMAC, edging out Mullen behind five wins and 10 top-five finishes. Gavin Keogh was named 4A’s swimmer of the year as he and Ethan DiFronzo each won two individual golds. Those two alongside Tobin Howe and Isaac Skillern won the 200 medley relay in a 4A record time and took second in the 400 free relay. Howe finished second in the 100 breaststroke. Coach Amber Austin was named 4A’s coach of the year.

Prospect Ridge Academy girls soccer: The 3A No. 4 Miners outscored their first two playoff opponents — No. 29 DSST: Montview and No. 13 Vail Mountain — a combined 13-0. They host JA in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Silver Creek boys swimming: The Raptors took sixth at the 4A state meet at VMAC on Saturday. James Story finished 0.39 seconds behind Monarch’s Ethan DiFronzo in a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle. He took fourth in the 200 free and was part of the fourth-place finish in the 400 free relay. Rider Neeb was third in dive.

10 athletes

Brady Anderson, Holy Family baseball: The junior went 7 of 13 from the plate last week, helping the defending 4A champion Tigers close out the regular season on a 10-game win streak. Against Colorado Academy on Saturday, he homered twice in a 10-5 win.

Addison Blick, Mead soccer: The goalkeeper pitched two shutouts in the opening rounds of the 4A postseason last week, tallying 13 saves. In Round 1, she had an incredible back-to-back-to-back deny that left her teammates and fans in awe.

Lucy Connors, Mead lacrosse: Connors scored 16 goals in two postseason games last week, helping send the 4A No. 4 Mavericks to Wednesday’s semifinals. She’s now the state leader with 106 goals. Holy Family’s Emma Brusate finished with 103 after her team lost in 4A’s opening round.

Ethan DiFronzo, Monarch swimming: DiFronzo won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles at the 4A state meet at VMAC. He was victorious in the 200 medley relay and runner-up in the 400 free relay.

Gavin Keogh, Monarch swimming: As part of two individual golds at the 4A state meet at VMAC, he broke the state record in the 100-yard backstroke and won the 200 freestyle. He also was part of a win in the 200 medley relay and the second-place finish in the 400 free relay.

Teagan Malcom, Longmont track and field: The CU commit set the state’s fastest mark of the season in the 300-meter hurdles on Friday at the HOKA St. Vrain Invitational, clocking in at 36.81 seconds. The state record in the event is held by Gerren Crochet, who went 36.41 for Bear Creek in 2001. Malcom is close.

Lucy Ochs, Fairview soccer: The senior’s magnificent career ended Friday in a second-round loss to 5A No. 1 Mountain Vista. But before it did, she scored her 14th goal of the season. She also had an assist in a Round 1 win over Regis Jesuit, giving her at least a point in 11 of 16 games this spring.

Haylee Pletcher, Legacy soccer: The senior had a goal and an assist in each of the team’s two games in the 5A postseason. The Lightning bowed out to Ralston Valley in the second round Friday.

Jackson Shepherd, Broomfield baseball: A career day at the plate Thursday, the sophomore had three hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in five in a 16-1 win over Mead. On Friday, the Eagles, who won the Granite Peaks League, beat Longmont, 10-0, for their 12th straight victory. Caden Williamson homered and drove in four.

Zoe Silver, Boulder soccer: The junior scored in the 31st minute in 5A’s opening round Tuesday, sending the Panthers to their first postseason win in seven years. They lost in Round 2 to Valor Christian.
