Resident of Campbell

Surrounded by family with hearts full of love, Chloe Lynn Jenkins, 87 of Campbell CA, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2022. She was born in sunny Southern California to Arthur and Mary Earnshaw and grew up in Montebello with her older sister Wana. Chloe had a special gift of making and keeping friends, many of whom she kept throughout her life. She considered them not just friends, but family. She enjoyed Montebello High School and was very active as Tri-Hi-Y Club president.

She was involved in Job’s Daughters and was Honored Queen. During her senior year spring break in Laguna Beach, she reconnected with the man she would marry, Larry Jenkins, whom she had first met in middle school, and their romance began.

Upon graduation, she attended Mt San Antonio Community College and married Larry on August 6, 1955. During their first 5 years of marriage, Chloe and Larry moved often for Larry’s work and then settled down in Montebello when their daughters started school. They later moved to Fallbrook. They had a wonderful marriage and made many lifelong friends. She was a devoted mother and was active with the girl’s activities such as water skiing and National Charity League. Chloe was involved in several volunteer activities and served in leadership positions in many organizations which included the PTA, Eastern Star, and P.E.O. She loved to play bridge and played weekly. In the 1980’s, Chloe and Larry moved to Upland and Chloe started working for Campbell Hausfield where she became the office manager at a distribution site. In 2000 she retired. Chloe and Larry enjoyed traveling and explored and experienced many places together, in the US as well as Italy and Panama.

They were married for 54 years until Larry’s passing. In 2014 Chloe moved to Campbell to be closer to one of her daughters. There she made many new friends from all walks of life and continued her membership in P.E.O. as well as playing bridge. She was kind, generous, meticulous, and kept an immaculate home!

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, her sister Wana and her son-in-law Doug. She is survived by her daughters Lorri and Tami ( Joe), her grandchildren Tom (Alli), Erin and Jennifer whom she loved with all of her heart. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Harry (Claudia) and numerous nieces and nephews.

We take solace in knowing Chloe loved us. Our lives are better for every moment we shared with her. Our hearts are full of sadness of her passing, but we are grateful that she lived a long full life.
