Cal Raleigh hit his major league-leading 32nd home run on Monday, one of four by the Seattle Mariners in their 11-2 victory over the host Minnesota Twins.

Raleigh hit a two-run shot to left in the ninth inning off reliever Joey Wentz.

Julio Rodríguez and Luke Raley homered as part of a six-run third inning for Seattle. Dominic Canzone, who homered twice on Sunday, went deep again for the Mariners, while Bryan Woo (7-4) gave up two runs and struck out nine to win his second straight start.

Brooks Lee, Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa each had two hits. Larnach and Correa hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning for Minnesota, which has lost 14 of its last 17.

Twins starter Bailey Ober (4-5) had just one bad inning, but it was rocky enough to be the difference in the game. He gave up six runs in the third, with a two-run homer by Rodríguez and Raley’s three-run shot doing most of the damage.

Orioles 6, Rangers 0: Trevor Rogers allowed three hits in a career-high eight innings in his home debut, Jackson Holliday hit a three-run homer and drove in the game’s first four runs and host Baltimore beat Texas with the game temperature reaching 100 degrees.

Rogers (1-0) made his third start and turned in the longest outing by an Oriole this season, throwing 72 of his 101 pitches for strikes. He struck out four and didn’t issue a walk.

Holliday’s run-scoring double followed Chadwick Tromp’s first hit with Baltimore, a two-out double in the third off Texas starter Patrick Corbin (4-7).

Coby Mayo and Cedric Mullins had consecutive one-out singles in the fifth and Holliday hit his ninth homer one out later, a 402-foot shot the opposite way to left-center field for a 4-0 lead. He finished 3 for 5 for his seventh three-hit game this season.

Cardinals 8, Cubs 2: Alec Burleson and Brendan Donovan each hit two-run homers in the fifth inning, Matthew Liberatore pitched seven strong innings and host St. Louis beat Chicago.

Lars Nootbaar and Nolan Gorman also homered as the Cardinals hit a season-best four home runs for the first time since April 30 at Cincinnati.

Liberatore (5-6) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out five for the Cardinals, who have won six of their last seven games.

Ben Brown (4-6) allowed eight runs on nine hits in five innings for the Cubs, who have lost four of their last five.

Michael Fulmer tossed two scoreless innings in relief of Brown after having his contract purchased from Triple-A Iowa prior to the game.

Donovan lined his fifth homer of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning, and Burleson followed with his ninth two batters later to give St. Louis a 6-1 lead.

Braves 3, Mets 2: Ronald Acuña Jr. homered, Spencer Schwellenbach (6-4) pitched seven strong innings and visiting Atlanta held off New York in the opener of a four-game series.

Michael Harris II and Sean Murphy each had an early sacrifice fly for the Braves, who beat starter Paul Blackburn (0-2) for the second time in six days and improved to 4-0 against the Mets this season.

Juan Soto hit a two-run homer that pulled the Mets within one, but he struck out against left-hander Dylan Lee with runners at the corners to end the eighth.

New York has dropped nine of 10.

Nimmo walked with two outs in the sixth and Soto drove a sinker into the left-center stands for his 17th homer of the season.

Reds 6, Yankees 1: Elly De La Cruz homered, tripled and drove in three runs as host Cincinnati defeated New York.

Gavin Lux also went deep for the Reds, who have won two straight and 11 of 16.

Aaron Judge accounted for the Yankees’ run with his 28th homer.

Pirates 5, Brewers 4: Nick Gonzales went 5 for 5 with two RBIs, Isiah Kiner-Falefa tripled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and visiting Pittsburgh beat Milwaukee to snap the Brewers’ four-game winning streak.

Tommy Pham hit a one-out single off Nick Mears (1-1) and scored when Kiner-Falefa sent a line drive into the right-field corner. Pham also hit his first homer of the season, a two-run shot off Chad Patrick in the fourth.

Diamondbacks 10, White Sox 0: Pavin Smith homered twice and drove in four runs and visiting Arizona beat Chicago in a game that saw the Diamondbacks lose Eugenio Suárez and Josh Naylor to injuries.

Suárez left after he was hit on the right hand in the first inning on a pitch from Shane Smith. The team announced he had a right-hand contusion and X-rays were negative.

Naylor, who hit a two-run double in the first for a 2-0 lead, appeared to injure his shoulder on a swing in the second and left in the fourth after grounding out. He is day to day with right shoulder discomfort.

Nationals 10, Padres 6: James Wood had a three-run homer among his three hits, drove in four and scored three times for visiting Washington, which beat San Diego.

Josh Bell also homered and finished with three RBIs. CJ Abrams had three hits and scored three times, twice on hits by Wood.

Wood, Abrams and Bell were involved in the blockbuster trade that sent Juan Soto from Washington to the Padres on Aug. 2, 2022. Bell came over with Soto while Abrams and Wood were among the six players the Padres sent to Washington. Abrams was a rookie and Wood a prospect. The Padres traded Soto to the New York Yankees in December 2023.

This was Wood’s first game at Petco Park.
