



Santa Cruz County had nine athletes named to 2024-25 All-Pacific Coast Athletic League first teams in boys soccer.
In the Gabilan Division, the top tier of the equity league, Alvarez senior Edwin Moreno was named MVP after leading the Eagles (23-0-3, 11-0-1) to the division title. The Eagles went on to win Central Coast Section and CIF NorCal Regional crowns, both in Division I. Moreno finished with nine goals and 10 assists.
Alvarez junior Luis Macias was named Offensive Player of the Year after finishing with a team-high 28 goals and seven assists.
Greenfield senior Anthony Zavala was named Defender Player of the Year after helping the fourth-place Bruins (10-6-6, 4-4-4) record three shutouts.
Palma junior Isidro Hernandez was named MVP of the Mission Division after leading the Chieftains (14-4-2, 10-1-1) to the title.
Watsonville senior defender Tialoc Ledesma-Pena and junior midfielder Alexis Castillo-Perez were named to the first team after helping the Wildcatz (5-8-6, 4-6-2) finish in fourth. Pajaro Valley senior Luis Tellez Mejia made the first team for the fifth-place Grizzlies (3-10-6, 2-5-5).
Gonzales junior midfielder Jorge Uribe was named MVP of the Cypress Division after leading the Spartans (20-4-3, 11-1-0) to the league and CCS D-IV titles, as well as the D-IV NorCal Regional title game. Uribe has 27 goals and 12 assists.
Gonzales senior midfielder Jose Camacho was named the Offensive Player of the Year after recording two goals and 12 assists.
Carmel senior Tyler Hendrick was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second-place Padres (11-6-1, 8-4-0), who recorded nine shutouts.
Ceiba senior Andres Martell Maravilla and sophomore Raziel Garcia-Romero were named to the first team for the fourth-place Spartans (5-11-1, 4-5-1).
Pacific Collegiate senior Elan Rizvi-Neuman of the fifth-place Pumas (4-6-7, 3-5-4), and Monte Vista Christian junior goalie Matteo Montenegro of the seventh-place Mustangs (5-12-3, 2-9-1) also made the first team.
Oakwood’s Allister Burk was named Player of the Year in the Santa Lucia Division for the third-place Hawks (4-5-1, 4-5-1).
Marina senior Cano-Montiel was named Offensive Player of the Year for the division champion Mariners (9-5-0, 9-0-0), and York junior Diego Silva-Audelo was named Defensive Player of The Year for the sixth-place Falcons (1-8-1, 1-8-1).
St. Francis sophomores Vince Tovar and Aidan Berrelleza-Hernandez were named to the first team for the fourth-place Sharks (3-9-3, 3-5-2).
