Many years ago, when asked about his definition of paradise, the late Johnny Cash responded, “This morning, with her, having coffee.”
That stuck with me. It’s a simple pleasure I too look forward to experiencing with my boyfriend throughout the week, savoring our morning conversations over sips.
For some, that moment of joy is out on the water, walking along Stinson Beach, curling up with a good book, enjoying a favorite meal or exploring a new place. So, tell me, what feels like paradise? I’d love to know.
Please make it a six-word story, a personal short story, with a beginning, middle and end — not six adjectives, not a cliche and not advice. Make us laugh or cry or at the least feel something. For an example, here is the famous story attributed to, but not proven to be written by, Ernest Hemingway: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” That’s quite the story!
