BOYS SOCCER
DIVISION II
No. 2 San Pasqual (20-4-3) at No. 1 Bishop Amat (30-2-1), 5 p.m.: The Lancers won the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship and have been dominant in the Southern California regional playoffs. They have back-to-back shutouts, beating Lindsay 3-0 on Thursday to advance. Senior striker Matthew Ibarra has been on a scoring tear with seven goals over his last five games. He scored twice in the Lancers’ 2-0 win over La Costa Canyon and scored twice in Thursday’s win. San Pasqual is the No. 2 seed. It knocked off Sultana 3-0 on Thursday to advance. Sultana is the team Bishop Amat beat 3-1 in the CIF-SS Division 1 title game. The Lancers, who will be playing on the grass in front of their home crowd, will be tough to beat.
The pick: Bishop Amat

No. 5 Classical Academy (18-3-3) at No. 2 Pasadena Poly (17-3-2) at Pasadena City College, 5 p.m.: The Panthers have not slowed down since beating Glenn 3-0 to win the CIF-SS Division 7 title. In the regional playoffs, they pounded Christian 3-0 in the first round before defeating Canoga Park in penalty kicks Thursday. The Panthers are home in the final because Escondido’s Classical Academy knocked out top-seeded St. Margaret’s 2-0 Thursday. Classical Academy has not allowed a goal in five straight games.
