Scott Burnstein’s Oakland County final regular-season football rankings:

1) Novi Detroit Catholic Central (9-0 D1) — Sky is the limit, state title No. 11 is well within reach.

2) Birmingham Groves (9-0 D2) — Taking the field against the Falcons is like taking a highway to the danger zone

3) Walled Lake Western (9-0 D3) — Jacarri Anderson is a game-changing talent more people need to know about.

4) Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (6-3 D2) — Battle tested, primed for a long playoff run.

5) Oxford (6-3 D1) — Gotta regroup fast, fellas!

6) Rochester Adams (7-2 D1) — Most dangerous thing in the wild is a wounded animal, these guys are ferocious and fearless no matter who is able to suit up.

7) Lake Orion (6-3 D1) — Never count this team out, too much grit, too much heart.

8) Clarkston (6-3 D1) — Should be higher in this ranking, don’t be shocked by another long jaunt in the postseason.

9) West Bloomfield (4-5 D1) — Still don’t know what to make of this squad after nine weeks.

10) Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (8-1 D5) — No shame in losing to Westside juggernaut Unity Christian to end the campaign.
