RANCHO TEHAMA >> A wildfire in Tehama County has leveled 10 structures and was threatening roughly 160 others, but did not expand from Monday to Tuesday morning, according to Cal Fire.

The Rancho Fire ignited earlier in the day near Rancho Tehama Road and Alpine Drive in Rancho Tehama, the Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit said in a social media post.

The fire had burned 700 acres and was 30% contained as of Tuesday morning. Containment grew by 10% from Monday night through Tuesday morning.

There was no information immediately available about the types of structures destroyed. The fire had damaged four other structures and was threatening another 158.

Evacuations were ordered for Rancho Tehama Road, Stagecoach Road, Oakridge Road and Apache Trail, Cal Fire said. Warnings were issued for Osborne Road and Nomlaki Lane.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
