Hornets 109, Trail Blazers 93: Brandon Miller had 26 points and eight rebounds, and Charlotte beat Portland for its fourth consecutive victory. Miller made six 3-pointers and the Hornets finished 16 for 42 behind the arc after totaling 72 in the previous three victories, equaling the NBA record for most in a three-game span.
Raptors 134, Wizards 125: Immanuel Quickley had 27 points and 11 assists to lift Toronto to the victory over Washington.
76ers’ Embiid to miss at least 3 games: Joel Embiid will miss at least three games because of a strained right oblique, the Philadelphia 76ers said. Embiid was hurt during the 76ers’ victory over Miami on Thursday night and the team said an MRI exam Saturday revealed the injury.
Mavericks waive Jones: The Dallas Mavericks have waived point guard Tyus Jones, one of the players involved in the three-team trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards. Jones made two starts among eight appearances for the Mavericks, averaging 3.9 points and 3.8 assists in 16.6 minutes per game.
