Sofia Niklaus had six goals and three assists, and Scotts Valley High’s girls lacrosse team beat visiting Monterey 19-2 In Pacific Coast Athletic League Gabilan Divison match on Tuesday.

Niklaus also had 21 draw possessions for an 84% win rate, seven draw controls, five caused turnovers and 15 ground balls.

Erin Szymanski had a personal best of four goals and one assist, and three ground balls for the Falcons. Dillon Fiorita had three goals and five ground balls.

Skylar Dufour had one goal, two assists, 13 draw controls, an Interception, and 12 ground balls. Natalia Warner scored twice, and Claire Skinner, Lili Raif and Lola Ritsema added goals.Raif played in goal the first half and made three saves, and Maisey Chard played goalie in the second half and made four saves.

Scotts Valley hosts Monte Vista Christian on Friday at 4 p.m.

Santa Cruz 14, Notre Dame 4 >> Natasha Ribera had three goals and six draw controls in the Cardinals’ win Monday.

Sasha Wallan had two goals and three draw controls for the Cardinals. Maddie McGrath, Georgia Polissar, and Julia Lombrozo also scored two goals each. Lou Ellis had one goal and two assists. Eva Pohlman and Ben Sommerville also scored.

Goalie Sydney White made four saves, and Sommerville made two saves.

Santa Cruz hosts Mercy on Friday at 6 p.m.

College baseball

Cabrillo 5, at West Valley 4 >> Oscar Knapp had two hits, including a two-run home run, and scored twice, to help the Seahawks beat the Vikings, the No. 2 ranked team in NorCal, for the third time this season in Coast Conference South Division action Tuesday.

Diego Grabiel had two hits, including a double, one walk, and two RBI for the Seahawks (17-21, 10-9), who have secured third place. Truett Ross had two hits, two walks, and scored a run.

Colin Spear and Drew Dillehay each had two hits, two RBI, and a run scored for the division champion Vikings (30-9, 16-3).

Winning pitcher Anthony Sullivan gave up two runs over six innings, and reliever Christian Trejo gave up two runs over three innings. They each recorded five strikeouts.

The Seahawks close the regular season with a home game against Monterey Peninsula (20-18, 8-11) on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Boys tennis

Soquel 4, Scotts Valley 3 >> The Knights locked up the SCCAL team title with their win Tuesday.

Hudson Ward, Benjamin Bellito, and Colby Negro won their singles matches for the Knights in straight sets.

Liam Stiller and Leo Hagedorn won for Soquel at No. 2 doubles.

Jacob Bodeman and Garvasis Kuriakose won at No. 1 doubles for the Falcons, who also won by default at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Aptos 5, Harbor 2 >> The short-handed Pirates won both contested matches, but defaulted five matches in their SCCAL loss Tuesday.

Abraham Bachar beat Tyler Thomas at No. 1 singles, and the Pirates’ Andreas Martinez and Luke Griffin won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles.

At Santa Cruz 5, Aptos 2 >> Che Castro, Jeremy Arulanantham, and Sammy Lambert won singles matches in straight sets in the Cardinals’ SCCAL win Monday.

Max Schumaker and Cal Pena outlasted the Mariners’ Isaiah Ackerman and Luve Granstrom 7-6 (6), 2-6, 1-0 (10-3) at No. 1 doubles, the closest match of the afternoon.

Ian Burchell and Ethan Romanowsky won at No. 2 doubles for the Cardinals (6-2).

The Mariners earned wins from George Jertberg at No. 4 singles, and Dylan Wood and Samuel Delgadillo at No. 3 doubles.

Boys golf

SLV 188, Scotts Valley 191 >> Tanner Brewer and Garret Dahlen combined for four birdies over the final three holes to lift the repeat SCCAL champion Cougars at Boulder Creek Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.

SLV’s James Dahlen (35) and Keenan Buntz (35) shared medalist honors. Brewer (38), Dahlen (40), and Luke Fontinell (40) also scored for the Cougars (10-0).

“The boys didn’t play their best golf of the season, but they grinded it out and came away with another all around team effort. So rad!” Cougars coach Luke Dahlen said.

Seamus Drees (38), Brogan Beasley (38), Adrian Creamer (38), Zane Siechen (38), and Noah Tripp (39) scored for the Falcons, who face Aptos at Seascape Golf Club on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

SLV next competes in the SCCAL Championship, a Central Coast Section qualifier for individuals, at Pasatiempo Golf Club on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Santa Cruz 208, Harbor 215 >> The Pirates’ Kaden Dunton shot 37 on the front nine at DeLavaga Golf Course to secure medalist honors, but the Cardinals won the teams’ SCCAL match Tuesday.

Tobin Ortiz-McClendon (39), Gavin Eaton (39), Sam Wickins (40), Cliff Chesnut (43), and Santi Toldeo (47) scored for the Cardinals (6-4).

Kyler Samples (41), Gunter Krueger (42), Niko Marinovic (47), and Jake Locknane (48) also scored for the Pirates (1-9).

High school softball

At Aptos 17, Soquel 3; 5 inn. >> Kailani Aguayo had three hits, three RBI, and scored twice in the Mariners’ SCCAL on Tuesday.

Gwen Vaca had two hits, one walk, two RBI, and scored three runs for the Mariners (9-5, 5-2). Bailey Fulton, Lilly McGee, and Jordan Zimmer each had two hits, one RBI, and two runs scored. Nova Neu doubled twice and had two RBI.

Keilana Torres had two hits, one walk, two RBI, and scored a run for the Knights (3-5, 2-5).

Mya Najera-White earned the complete-game win, She gave up six hits and three walks, and struck out eight batters.

On Thursday at 4:30 p.m., Aptos plays at Harbor (1-9, 0-7), while Soquel hosts Scotts Valley (11-5-1, 4-1).

SLV 13, at Harbor 1; 6 inn. >> Audrey Jouglet and Angie Fulkerson homered for the Cougars in their SCCAL win Tuesday.

Jouglet finished with three hits, and Fulkerson had three RBI. Bailey Filice had three hits, including a triple, and scored three runs for the Cougars.

Sofia Monroe had the Pirates’ lone hit and run scored. Lily DeFelice had the RBI.

Filice, the winning pitcher, threw two innings and exited with a 7-1 lead.

Harbor (1-9, 0-7) hosts Aptos on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

SLV (7-6-1, 5-2) hosts Scotts Valley on April 29 at 4:30 p.m.

At King City 20, MVC 5; 5 inn. >> Addie Boles had three hits and two RBI in the Mustangs’ PCAL Mission Division loss Tuesday.

Gianna Johnson had two hits and scored three runs for the Mustangs. Ava Alvarado had a hit and scored twice.

MVC (8-10, 2-7) hosts Carmel (10-4, 7-2) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

High school baseball

At Scotts Valley 17, Harbor 5 >> Loyola Marymount University commit Kaleb Wing had three hits, including a home run, eight RBI, and scored twice in the Falcons’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

It was the second time this season that the Falcons have scored 10 or more runs.

Clayton Pryor had two hits, four RBI, and scored a run for the Falcons. Lukas Bloom, Owen Martin, Nick Acton, and Isaac Martin each had one hit, one RBI, and two runs scored.

Wing started on the mound and was pulled after 3 1/3 innings with a 12-0 lead. He gave up two hits and four walks, and struck out eight batters.

Scotts Valley (8-10, 3-4) plays at Harbor (12-6, 3-4) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

At Aptos 3, SLV 1 >> Damien Espinoza and Nate Garcia each had a hit and one RBI for the Mariners’ in their SCCAL win Tuesday.

Dom Castillo had a hit, two stolen bases, and scored twice for the Mariners

Winning pitcher Alec Mendoza threw a complete-game three hitter with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

Larrabee Mitchell had two hits for the Cougars. Dominic Aguilar had a hit and one RBI, and Porter Boyd scored his team’s lone run.

SLV (2-14, 0-8) hosts Aptos (6-10, 3-5) on Thursday at 4 p.m.

At Monte Vista Christian 5, Evergreen Valley 1 >> Tyson Shaw had three hits, including a triple, one RBI, two stolen bases, and a run scored in the Mustangs’ nonleague win Tuesday.

Evan Vessey hd two hits, one RBI, and run scored for the Mustangs (14-3, 5-1). Brady Cortez and Gerard Tershey each doubled, drove in a run, and scored a run.

Cortez gave up one run over four innings and earned the win.

MVC plays at Stevenson (9-5, 5-1) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

College softball

At San Mateo 14, Cabrillo 0; 5 inn. >> Morgan DeVillires had the Seahawks’ lone hit and they shut out in their Coast Conference and regular-season finale Tuesday.

Sierra Pasco had three hits, including a home run, four RBI, and scored twice for the Bulldogs (35-3, 12-2), the conference co-champion with West Valley (37-3, 12-2).

It was a rough season for the Seahawks (4-32-1, 1-13), who held to a run or less 13 times, including nine shut outs.

Boys volleyball

Santa Cruz 3, Scotts Valley 0 >> The Cardinals won their SCCAL match 25-19, 25-15, 26-24 on Tuesday.

Senior outside hitter Raith Wallwork had six kills, six digs and two aces for the Falcons. Junior setter Troy Thompson had nine assists and three digs. Senior libero Neo Ciotti made five digs.

SLV 3, Soquel 1 >> The Cougars rallied for a 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, 29-27 win in the teams’ SCCAL match on Monday.

SLV (3-3) hosts Aptos on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
