 Gail Solomon, 84, of Los Altos Hills, California, passed away peacefully on the evening of June 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Gail was born in Barcelona, Spain, and immigrated with her family to the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, California, in 1950. She attended Willow Glen High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in child development from the University of California, Berkeley. It was at Cal that she met the love of her life, Ernest Solomon. They married in 1962 and went on to raise two children, Debra and Aaron.

Gail dedicated her professional life to education, spending many years as a bilingual kindergarten and first-grade teacher in the Sunnyvale School District. Her passion for teaching left a lasting impact on generations of students and their families.

In retirement, Gail and Ernie traveled the world together and remained active in their community. Gail served as a docent at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University and was an involved member of the Los Altos Hills Newcomers Club.

Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Ernest; her children, Debra and Aaron; her daughter-in-law, Kathy; and her cherished grandsons, Andrew and Jared.

Amemorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills.
