Clothing drive at San Rafael gallery

Thousands of dollars’ worth of socks and jackets were donated at the opening reception for St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin and the Marin Society of Artists’ sock and jacket drive Jan. 10.

The event, which took place at the San Rafael gallery, was attended by more than 200 people, including Kathleen Woodcock of Greenbrae; Bette Trono of Mill Valley; Steve Rayburn of Novato; and Gail Andersen, Duane Geck, Peter Hsu and Judith Walsh-Cassidy, all of San Rafael.

Donations of socks and jackets will still be accepted at the gallery from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays through Feb. 1.
