The Spartans (27-5) have now won eight straight, matching a season best.
Jaden Akins had 12 points for the Spartans while Coen Carr had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Nate Bittle finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Ducks (24-9). TJ Bamba added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Michigan State scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 42-32 lead and used a 15-0 second half run to pull away after Oregon had cut the deficit to 44-43 with 15:33 left.
Broome’s double-double lifts Auburn over Ole Miss: Johni Broome scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as regular-season champion Auburn opened its bid to repeat at the Southeastern Conference Tournament by holding off eighth-seeded Mississippi 62-57 Friday.
Denver Jones also had 13 points as Auburn snapped a two-game skid.
Ole Miss (21-11) has lost two of its last three to top-five teams. Dre Davis and Sean Pedulla each had 12 points, and Malik Dia and Jaylen Murray 10 apiece.
The third-ranked Tigers showed some rust after being off since losing to Alabama in overtime last week.
They led 29-22 at halftime but never were up more than 10.
Haggerty scores 42 points for Memphis in win over Wichita State: PJ Haggerty scored a career-high 42 points and led the go-ahead run for 16th-ranked Memphis in an 83-80 win over Wichita State in a quarterfinal game at the American Athletic Conference tournament Friday.
The Tigers (27-5) went ahead to stay with a 12-0 run over a 2 1/2-minute span after halftime in which Haggerty scored nine of those points.
Clark’s 17 lead VCU over St. Bonaventure: Jack Clark had 17 points in VCU’s 76-59 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Clark had six rebounds for the Rams (26-6). Zeb Jackson scored 14 points, shooting 5 for 11 (0 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line. Joe Bamisile had 13 points and went 6 of 16 from the field (1 for 5 from 3-point range).
Melvin Council Jr. and Chance Moore led the way for the Bonnies (22-11) with 19 points apiece. Lajae Jones finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
VCU took the lead with 15:19 left in the first half and did not relinquish it. Clark led his team in scoring with eight points in the first half to help put them up 36-26 at the break.
