Resident of Los Gatos
Rose Arnaudo passed away at 81 after fighting admirably against prolonged illness. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Donald; her children Claudia (Mario), Stefan (Amy), and Anna; her siblings John (Nora) and Antoinette; her five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose spoke fondly ofher childhood, which shespent in Morgan Hill at the family farm and atLive Oak High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Ditz-Crane Construction before starting her own bookkeeping service. She was proud of thedegrees sheearnedlat- er in lifeatWestValleyCol- lege.
A very active member of her community, Rose served with numerous organizationsincluding NAW- IC, ICF, the Los Gatos History Club, CASA, and CCOC. She was known at Daves Avenue Elementary School for cooking the Spaghetti Dinner and dressing as the clown for the Carnival. She was an avid crocheter, donating many of her creations to charity.
Rose will be remembered for her optimism, resilience and sense of adventure.
She travelled to six continents, lamenting that illness prevented her from visiting Antarctica. Her trips to spend time with family in Italy were her favorite.
Even in illness, she was upfor any outing, be it fishing orskee-ball or simply going for a drive. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held Monday July 21st from 4-8pm at Darling Fischer, Los Gatos. AFuneral Mass will be held Tuesday July 22nd at 11am at St Mary’s Church in Los Gatos, with a reception to follow.
