HENDERSON, Nev. >> Davante Adams said on his weekly spot on the “Up and Adams Show” that he hadn’t heard from Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce since a screenshot appeared of Pierce appearing to like a social media post about possibly trading the Raiders star wide receiver.

Sports Illustrated writer Michael Fabiano posted on Instagram: “Don’t be surprised if Davante Adams has already played his last snap with the Raiders.”

“I keep my head down and keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may as it pertains to that,” Davante Adams told host Kay Adams. “But there’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that (post) became a thing. It’s kind of like the weekly, ‘What’s up with Tae?’ thing. There’s always some sort of drama, but at the end of the day 17 (his uniform number) doesn’t create any of it, so people can say what they want.”

NFL Network reported Adams requested that the Raiders trade him, and ESPN reported that the club has notified other teams it might be interested in dealing the receiver.

Adams’ name regularly comes up in trade rumors because his salary cap hit rises dramatically next year, and there is a question of whether the Raiders might want to acquire assets for a potential rebuild.

The trade talk “gets annoying for sure,” Davante Adams said on the show. “I’m one of those players that people like to talk about one way or the other.”

A hamstring injury kept Adams out of Sunday’s 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Pierce said Monday he didn’t have an update on whether the receiver would be back for Sunday’s game at the Denver Broncos, and Adams said on the show he didn’t know if he would be ready.

Fields to start at QB against Dallas>> Pittsburgh quarterback Russell Wilson’s calf injury is improving, but Justin Fields will get the start when the Steelers host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5.

Coach Mike Tomlin says he expects Wilson to take on a heavier load in practice as he recovers from a calf issue he aggravated just before the season opener. Tomlin says the 35-year-old Wilson will need to show he has full mobility before being given “serious consideration” to return.

Fields has played well over the first month and had 367 yards of total offense in a Week 4 loss to Indianapolis.

Cowboys pass rusher Lawrence out at least 4 games>> The Dallas Cowboys have placed defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on injured reserve with a foot injury.

The move sidelines their second-best pass rusher behind Micah Parsons for at least four games. The Cowboys filled Lawrence’s roster spot by signing defensive end K.J. Henry off Cincinnati’s practice squad.

Browns rookie DT suspended 5 games>> Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. has been suspended five games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy following his arrest this summer for a domestic altercation.

The league said Hall will be eligible for reinstatement on Oct. 7, meaning he has already served four games of the suspension. The 21-year-old was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list last month as a result of the initial charge.

Hall was charged with domestic violence on Aug. 13 following the incident involving his fiancee at the Ohio home they share. He pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct last month.

Seahawks sign 42-year-old lineman to practice squad>> The Seattle Seahawks signed veteran offensive lineman Jason Peters to their practice squad, potentially creating the opportunity for him to play in a 20th season.

The 42-year-old spent part of last season with the Seahawks, including two starts after being signed early in the season. It will be Peters’ 21st season in the league, but he missed all of the 2012 season because of an injury.

He’s played at least one game in 19 different seasons since his rookie year in 2004 and is one of five offensive linemen to play in at least 19 seasons.

teams could see more 2-game European trips>> Two-game trips to Europe could become a regular option for NFL teams as the league looks to increase the number of international games to 16 per year.

Dublin and Berlin hope to join the NFL’s roster of European destinations that already includes London, Munich and Frankfurt, and the Spanish capital as of 2025.

The Jacksonville Jaguars play back-to-back games in London for the second straight season, starting Oct. 13 when they face the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and then the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium.
