Hubert L Coombs, 96, of Orion, Michigan, was called to his eternal home on June 8, 2025 of natural causes. Hubert was born on May 7, 1929 in Sutton, West Virginia, the son of Robert L Coombs and Lula K White. Hubert joined the Navy in 1947, and served until honorably discharged in 1950. Hubert married Ruby Jane Rowan of Sutton, West Virginia in 1952. They divorced in 1997 after raising six children. Hubert worked as a carpet cleaner and founded Coombs Carpet Cleaners where he served people for over 40 years. Remaining to cherish Hubert’s memory are children, Brenda Roden, Sandra Nicklow, Hubert Coombs, Jr, Diana Coombs, John Coombs, and Theresa Coombs.; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Christopher, Brandy, James, Amanda, Hubert Jr !!, Jessie, Brandon, and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Chelsea, Cassandra, Victoria, Sara, Bradley, Zachary, Rowan, Brenna, Elijah, Catlin, Olivia, Sienna, Lyra, Michael Jr, Andrew, Katlyn, Christopher Jr, and Madelyn; sisters, Eilene, Dolly, and Phyllis. Preceding Hubert in death are; ex spouse, Ruby Rowan; grandchildren, Marie, Timothy; parents, Robert and Lula; brothers, Robert, Buster, Floyd, and Paul.
