RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Brandon A. Parrish, 28, 5000 block of 113th Street, Alsip, and Ruben Santoyo, 31, 11700 block of Laramie Avenue, Alsip, were charged with residential burglary June 13 in connection with a June 10 break-in at a vacant house in the 11300 block of Leclaire Avenue, police said.
Burbank
FIREWORKS ARSON: Investigators recovered three exploded fireworks shells from around a parked pickup truck damaged by an early June 12 fire in a residential driveway in the 5500 block of 84th Street, police said. Video shows an unidentified individual sprinting from the driver’s side at 2:44 a.m. as flames appear at the vehicle’s front, followed by a loud explosion, police said.
ROBBERY: Shavonia M. Dantzler, 41, DeKalb, was arrested during a June 17 retail theft investigation and subsequently charged with robbery and retail theft after hitting an employee with a communication device at a grocery store in the 7700 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Three males fled in two nearby vehicles June 20 after attempting to break into a residence in the 500 block of Cass Street between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., police said.
Ford Heights
GUN POSSESSION: Tarrance L. Graham, 54, 2800 block of 224th Street, Sauk Village, was scheduled to appear June 25 in Cook County court at Markham, charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/vehicle/loaded/no gun permit, according to a court spokesperson. Cook County sheriff’s deputies arrested Graham May 14 in the 300 block of Lincoln Highway after finding a loaded laser-equipped handgun and determining he lacked gun permits, sheriff’s police said.
Lockport
BATTERY: Nicholas Pashchuk, 32, of the 16900 block of Magnolia Drive, Lockport, was arrested June 22 and subsequently charged with battery, domestic battery, theft and criminally damaging property after attacking a friend and family members in that block, smashing the a windshield and taking money from the friend, police said.
Monee
ANIMAL ENDANGERMENT: Virginia Nachtwey, 51, 27400 block of Egyptian Trail, Monee, was arrested June 11 and subsequently charged with confined animal in a motor vehicle after leaving a dog inside a car with an interior temperature of 116 degrees, police said.
New Lenox
BUSINESS BURGLARY: Officers investigating a 3:40 a.m. June 17 alarm at a wine lounge in the 2400 block of East Joliet Highway found the glass front door shattered and an unopened cash register in the parking lot, police said. Investigators later determined the offenders used a car taken from a local residence and also linked them to a car burglary at another residence, police said.
ILLEGAL AMMUNITION: Lawrence E. Gunn, 19, 22400 block of Army Drive, Richton Park, was arrested June 20 after officers recovered a magazine loaded with 9 mm bullets at Lincoln Highway and Cedar Road and determined he lacked a gun permit, police said. Gun permit owners must be at least 21, according to state law.
Oak Lawn
IDENTITY THEFT: Courtney C. Clark, 27, Chicago, was arrested June 8 in the 4000 block of 99th Street and accused of possessing another’s identification and credit card as well as possessing more than 30 grams of cannabis after officers recovered a driver’s license and two credit cards belonging to other people, along with a credit-card scanner and 1.8 ounces of marijuana, police said.
BURGLARY ARREST: The second of two men accused of taking seven nail guns collectively selling for $2,473 from a home improvement store April 13 in the 4000 block of 95th Street, after it had closed, was arrested June 8, police said. Keonte L. Perdue, 26, Chicago, was subsequently charged with burglary, police said.
Orland Park
FORGERY CHARGE: Brian E. Tucker Jr., 25, Powder Springs, Georgia, was arrested May 28 at Orland Square mall and subsequently charged with forgery, possession of another’s debit/credit card and bank fraud after officers searching his rental vehicle recovered three debit cards, two bank ATM deposit receipts for six checks collectively paying $2,431.61 and U.S. Treasury refund checks collectively paying $3,600 to three people he didn’t know, police said.
DEALING ALLEGED: Jesus G. Puente-Chavez, 33, 16500 block of Ashland Avenue, Markham, was arrested June 3 and subsequently charged with possessing more than 100 grams of cocaine with intent to deliver after officers recoveried 238 1-gram bags of suspected cocaine from his vehicle at 151st Street and Regent Drive, police said. Officers witnessed Puente-Chavez transact a hand-to-hand exchange in an Orland Square parking lot prior to the stop, police said.
Park Forest
ROBBERY: Kalif F. Lewis, 19, 20800 Travers Avenue, Chicago Heights, and Archie D. Dent, 20, 1100 block of Campbell Avenue, Chicago Heights, were charged with attempted aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery and attempted robbery May 26, police said. The two approached a pedestrian waiting for a train to pass at Western Avenue and the CN railway, ordered him into their vehicle and then tried to force him back into their vehicle at the intersection of Beacon Boulevard and Western Avenue after he escaped, thanks to his friend rear-ending their vehicle, police said.
GUN POSSESSION: A 17-year-old motorist was petitioned to juvenile court and accused of possessing a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after officers recovered a handgun with an extended magazine from his waistband during a June 1 traffic stop at Western Avenue and Sauk Trail, police said.

BUSINESS BURGLARY: Merchandise collectively selling for $16,500 was reported stolen June 9 from a retail business in the 3600 block of Union Avenue.
Will County
CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: Piotr Fudala, 31, 200 block of Cameron Avenue, unincorporated Lockport, was arrested June 17 and subsequently charged with possessing video and still photos, as well as at least one sexually explicit photo of a child younger than 13, according to Will County sheriff’s police and court records online. Deputies conducted a search of Fudala’s home after Lockport police relayed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, sheriff’s police said.
ONLINE SCAM: Will County sheriff’s police say deputies investigating a June 20 online identity protection scam arrested Liwi Deng, 29, June 20 while he was parked in a Lincoln-Way West High School parking lot with $37,000 of $39,000 he took from an elderly New Lenox area woman. Deng is scheduled to appear in Will County court July 10, charged with theft of more than $5,000 by deception from a person 60 or older and theft by deception of more than $10,000, according to sheriff’s police and court records online. Deng is a resident of Castro Valley, a suburb of Oakland, California.
