Colorado is relishing the chance to end its season on a high note regardless of the outcome of the Alamo Bowl.

While a number of teams are shuffling their roster with players opting out of bowl games to enter the transfer portal or prepare for the NFL draft, the Buffaloes have their entire two-deep roster available.

No. 20 Colorado (9-3, No. 23 CFP) will face the 17th-ranked BYU Cougars (10-2, No. 17 CFP) today in San Antonio.

“We appreciate every single moment,” Buffaloes linebacker B.J. Green said. “This group of guys will never be together again. You have to appreciate that stuff. Football is supposed to be a fun sport. I feel a lot of time these days people have turned it into a job, and it’s not supposed to be that.”

Colorado coach Deion Sanders honored his players’ commitment by securing additional disability insurance coverage for his team, including record coverage for his star duo of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and quarterback son Shedeur.

Many scouting services have Sanders rated as the top quarterback in this year’s draft, but he didn’t want to sit out and miss his final game with the Buffaloes.

“It’s about cherishing the moment,” Sanders said. “It’s about knowing this is the final collegiate game, and each and every game we left it all out there. There’s no regret. I don’t ever want to go anywhere with regret, so that’s the thing.”

Former Centennial High and Riverside City College quarterback Jake Retzlaff (2,747 passing yards, 26 total touchdowns) leads BYU.

FENWAY BOWL

UConn (8-4) vs. North Carolina (6-6): Legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick gets to watch his future team in action when the Tar Heels take on the Huskies at Fenway Park, Boston’s iconic baseball stadium. QB Jacolby Criswell is coming off a 273-yard, 3-TD performance in a 35-30 loss to N.C. State. RB Omarion Hampton is a workhorse with 281 carries and 1,1660 yards (ranks third in the country) and 15 TDs.

PINSTRIPE BOWL

Boston College (7-5) vs. Nebraska (6-6): The Huskers play the Eagles today at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, with Nebraska making its first bowl appearance since 2016.

Freshman QB Dylan Raiola (2,600 passing yards, 12 TDs) has reaffirmed his desire to remain at Nebraska as nearly two dozen of his teammates entered the transfer portal.

NEW MEXICO BOWL

TCU (8-4) vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (10-3): Program milestones are on the line for both schools today in Albuquerque. The Ragin’ Cajuns are playing in a seventh consecutive bowl game and looking to reach 11 or more wins for only the third time, while the Horned Frogs can get to exactly nine wins for the first time since 1955. Both teams possess high-flying offenses — TCU averaged 33.4 points a game and Louisiana-Lafayette 33.1. QB Josh Hoover (3,697, 23 TDs) leads TCU.

POP-TARTS BOWL

No. 13 Miami (12-2) vs. No. 18 Iowa State (10-3): Cam Ward missed out on the College Football Playoff, the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game and the Heisman Trophy.

He’s not missing one more chance to play for Miami.

Ward and the Hurricanes take on the Cyclones today in Orlando with both teams looking for an 11th victory — something Iowa State has never done and something Miami hasn’t done since 2003.

And for the most part, both teams expect their full rosters to play.

Ward has thrown for 4,123 yards and 36 touchdowns this season, both of them Miami school records.

ARIZONA BOWL

Miami (Ohio) (8-5) vs. Colorado State (8-4): QB Brett Gabbert leads the RedHawks against the Rams today in Tucson. Gabbert (2,737 yards, 21 TDs), RB Keyon Mozee (1,073 yards, four TDs), and WR Javon Tracy (57 receptions, 818 yards, seven TDs) lead the Miami attack.

MILITARY BOWL

East Carolina (7-5) vs. N.C. State (6-6): East Carolina comes into the game at Annapolis, Md., having dropped its season finale to Navy. QB Katin Houser, RB Rahjai Harris, and WR Anthony Smith lead the offense.

N.C. State QB CJ Bailey (2,183 passing yards, 14 TDs), spreads the ball around to RBs Jordan Waters and Daylan Smothers, and pass-catchers Justin Joly and Dacari Collins.

INDEPENDENCE BOWL

Louisiana Tech (5-7) vs. No. 19 Army (11-2): The Bulldogs were a late replacement for the game in Shreveport, La. following Marshall’s withdrawal after a coaching change resulted in much of its roster jumping into the transfer portal. Army has the seventh-ranked scoring defense (16.2 points per game).
