Al passed peacefully on September 24, 2024. He is survived by wife Donna Thorbjornsen, sons Eric Thorbjornsen (Laurie), Scott Thorbjornsen, grandchildren Joseph, Sarah, John and JariThorbjornsen and brother John Ludvigsen.

Born in Brooklyn, NY to Esther M. Thorbjornsen and Olaf Thorbjornsen in 1940. Raised in Valley Stream, NY and graduated from Valley Stream High School.

Lived inOakland, CA, San Lorenzo, CA, Albuquerque, NM, San Jose, CAand Morgan Hill, CA He was inthe army from 1963-1965. The army brought him to Oakland, CA wherehemet hiswife Donna of 60 years.

He was a Quality Engineer/Quality Director for 45 yearsacrossSilicon Valley.

He worked tirelessly for over 10 years to finish his B.A. at night at Cal State Hayward.

He had a great sense of humor and had many friends across the valley.

He loved his family and he will be missed very much.

Everyone loved “Big Al”.

Donations can be made to Salvation Army, Golden State Division in lieu of flowers. No services will be held. Internment at Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, CA.
