Trump crossed the border and told the worst dictator in the world that it was an honor to meet him. An honor? You are supposed to be the leader of the free world. You represent America. Which was the greatest country in the world until you took office.
Honestly, it took me longer than I expected for sometime to accuse me of hating the police because I want them to act like public servants and not an aggressive military force. I want my police to lend a helping hand, and not an iron fist. I want my police to serve and protect, not play wannabe soldiers. That’s not hating the police; that’s wanting to not live under martial law. I happen to believe the clothes make the man, so step one is to ditch the combat fatigues and put on the police blues (or brown).
French President Macron’s office released a video on Instagram from the G-20 summit, of Ivanka Trump awkwardly forcing herself into a conversation with world leaders. It was cringeworthy, as it was clear that none of the leaders wanted her there. The message was “Get her out of here.”
This is what it will be like for the next 18 months running against our carnival barker of a president. Every time an opposition candidate gets some decent press Trump will do something outrageous to steal the news cycle back. I’m terrified of what he’s going to do late in the campaign to keep the focus on him.
What’s happening with Kamala Harris is disgusting and unquestionably racist. And while the tweet was eventually deleted, it appears that the Trump family tradition of spreading racial demagoguery and conspiracy theories lives on. Par for the course.
To the Quickly writer who said wake up before its too late. It might be too late already. He’s a proven liar, tax cheat, serial cheater, obstructer of justice and bankruptcy king that can all be proven with facts. However his supporters don’t care. They refuse to educate themselves with the truth and continue to watch Fox TV. The only solution is to roundly defeat him and the Republicans that protect him at the ballot box. Only then will you be able to save our democracy for future generations.
In the last 10 years, more than 100 hospitals in rural areas of Republican-controlled states have closed, almost all because of their GOP governors’ or legislators’ refusal to accept expanded Medicaid funding available under Obamacare. It’s all part of the same Republican “policy.” If Obama was for it, we’re against it.
Can anyone explain to me why a shoe saleslady is at a G20 summit? Or meeting a North Korean dictator? What has happened to my America? Where are the true patriots to defend our democracy?
You know how sometimes when you go to a meeting, dinner or other gathering there is usually one guy that is just so obnoxious. He brags non-stop and takes credit for other’s work, lies constantly and just has to be the center of attention. That is how the rest of the world looks at the USA and our narcissistic president now.
I know that I have been blessed. I don’t mind paying my fair share of taxes to help the poor, the old and the disabled veterans. But it annoys the hell out of me when I’m paying my taxes to subsidize the rich, who skate away without paying any taxes.
Americans are so morally benumbed by Trump’s vileness, that he could (and did) declare at a “Faith and Freedom” conference (of all places) that he was glad John McCain was dead, and would prefer it if he had not gone on to some “greener pastures,” but instead to a place “not so green.” If we lived in a world of normal moral decency, a depraved remark like this would evoke outraged contempt, and there would be loud and universal cries for Trump’s immediate removal from office. But look what’s happened to us. Or, rather, look at what he’s done to us. Millions of Americans laugh it off as just “Trump being Trump,” and our moral degradation becomes more complete with each passing day.
The difference between guilty people and innocent people is the difference between a calm mind and a frantic one.
