Age 83, of Cottage Grove Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Preceded in death by parents, Burton and Kathlyn; son-in-law, Jason Pauly; brother-in-law, James Lindell; and nephew/Godson, Robert Lindell.<br><br>Survived by devoted wife of 62 years, Margaret "Peggy"; daughters, Maria (Dean) Gathje and Suzanne Pauly; grandchildren, Sarah and Molly Gathje, and Anna, Joseph, Carrie and Michael Pauly; nephew, Jim (Terri) Lindell; niece, Kristen Lindell; and many cousins, family and friends.<br><br>David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, graduated from Michigan State University, and worked many years as a packaging engineer at 3M. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and woodworking.
